Down to Hang — Privacy

Down to Hang is a small app for telling friends you're free to hang out. This page says what we store and why, in plain words.

What we store

• Account info — your name, email address, and username, via our sign-in provider (Clerk). Signing in with Apple or Google shares only what you approve on their consent screens.
• Your friends — who you've connected with by invite code.
• Your subsets — the private groups you sort friends into. Only you can ever see their names or membership; friends are never told which subsets they're in, or that subsets exist at all.
• Hangs — the availability windows you post (time window, the optional note, and who they reached).
• Push tokens — the device addresses needed to deliver notifications you've turned on.

What we don't do

• No ads, no selling or sharing data with anyone.
• No analytics or tracking beyond basic server logs.
• No reading your contacts — friends are added by invite code only.
• No location data.

Who processes data

The service runs on Cloudflare (hosting and database, US/EU edge). Sign-in is handled by Clerk. Notifications are delivered by Apple (APNs) and your browser's push service. Each processes only what's needed for its job.

Retention & deletion

Data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account and everything attached to it yourself, in the app: Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — profile, friends, groups, and hangs all go at once, including your sign-in record at Clerk. Prefer email, or want an export of your data first?
